Main Task Photo Shoot

On this page, evaluate your experience of that day.  This is where you can discuss your use of technology and your ability to bring in props and compose and frame suitable shots.

Here you should showcase your skills with the camera and detail your best shots even if they are not used on your cover etc.

Look at how Fox has begun to do this:

Main Task - Photo Shoot
On this page I am going to upload the pictures that I took during our photo shoot day and explain the thinking behind them and talk about the different positioning and effects that I used to take my pictures. These are the pictures that I have at my disposal when I go to create my music magazine front cover, contents page and double page spread. I will edit these pictures in Photoshop to put my magazine pages together in the way that suits my plan and vision of the end product.  I have chosen to use Photoshop as the editing program as by using this application I can manipulate and edit colour, saturation, size, opacity and much more.  It will allow me to create professional pictures so that my overall music magazine will look engaging and appealing to the target audience.

I took this image to show the effects that the reflection of water can make in the sunlight. This image clearly portrays this as you can see my model in the reflection of the puddle.

I took this image by placing a toilet tube on the end of the camera, this gives a good effect as it blacks out the rest of the image apart form the centre.  This means the viewer can focus on a certain point of the model or object with a nice blacked out effect on the outer portion of the image.  It is also an iconic effect as used in James Bond title sequences.  Therefore this image uses intertextuality which could be made even more evident through a caption or coverline for example.

Sam discusses images of him taking the images - a clever way of documenting your day.

Although this image will not feature on my finalised magazine, I still needed to upload this image to my blog. I needed to this in order to show the evidence that my images had been carefully planned and discussed with my teachers.  There were key things that needed to be considered before simply taking the image. This image shows how I carefully researched and planned the location and the key codes and conventions I must consider when constructing my magazine.
